Happy Good Friday Everyone!

Last weekend I didn’t even realize that Easter was a week away. I donned on me Sunday as people were talking about Easter egg hunts and plans. I get so caught up in the day to day of work and other things that today hasn’t really seemed all that different to me. Sometimes I think that my relationship with God would be stronger if I could be more sentimental about days like this. I did find some pictures that put this week into perspective on BBC.com.

This Philippine boy is waiting to have a palm frond
blessed by a Catholic priest.
Palms are special because they
were used to greet Jesus.
This elderly woman carries willow
branches as young
Catholics walk to church in
Bucharest, Romania.
These Roman Catholic nuns are choosing
palm fronds in Hyderabad, India.
The event was marked by Christians in Jerusalem itself.
Here Orthodox Christians descend
from the Mt of Olives into the Old City.
